Cellulite is the honeycomb-like skin that commonly occurs in the thigh area. It is formed when adipose tissue located deep in the skin grows against the connective tissue. This creates the dimpled appearance of which the cellulite is infamous.

Cellulite can develop on the thighs because the area naturally has more adipose tissue. Other risk factors for the development of cellulite include:

lightening of the epidermis (outer layer of the skin)

Although thigh cellulitis can be frustrating in terms of overall health, there is nothing wrong with having it. However, it is understandable that many women want to get rid of it.
