New Locations

Set on a reimagined Erangel map, Steampunk Frontier introduces 4 new key locations:

Aetherholm: A sprawling central train station featuring elevators, hidden clock towers, and recreational areas.
Cargo Hub: A transit station connecting multiple train routes.

New Traverse Features

Traverse the map using hot air balloons and rollercoaster checkpoints.

Hot Air Balloons Checkpoint: Hot Air Balloons in the 3.8 update serve as mobile aerial platforms scattered across the map, allowing players to glide and gain a tactical high-ground advantage for scouting or surprise attacks. They add vertical mobility and new strategic options for movement and combat.
Rollercoaster Checkpoint: This place is a playful yet functional addition where players can hop on a rollercoaster ride. Besides offering an adrenaline rush and scenic views, riding the rollercoaster provides loot opportunities and a unique photo spot to capture memorable moments during matches.

Two giant steam trains dominate the PUBG 3.8 Steampunk Frontier mode map:

Epoch Cargo Train: It's a larger size of steam train than the Express Train. Stopping at Aetherholm stations, it carries a Steam Supply Crate that refills at each stop.
Express Train: A special train looping around the map, stopping at Cargo Hubs. Successfully solving the clockwork puzzles on the Express train will earn you Mechanical Caches with valuable loot.

Giant Transformation Serum: Drink it to transform into giants (Titans) for a few minutes. The Serum will give you boosts on many aspects, including: health, speed, and melee strength. Teammates can ride on the giant’s shoulder, adding cooperative dynamics.

Mechanical Grappling Hook: With the Grappling Hook, you can make fast vertical and horizontal movement in short distances mid-air, akin to Spider-Man’s web-slinging.
