Marvel Snap releases patch updates every month, usually once or twice, to address any problems that players may encounter while playing the game. As such, on April 18th, 2023 a new update was released which includes changes in certain areas of the game as well as new features and modifications made to some cards that were recently weakened.
Marvel Snap took a hard decision over the Kitty Pryde card
Players experienced a peculiar issue with the Kitty Pryde card where it could amplify its power and return to the deck. This caused significant difficulty for players as the card continuously multiplied its strength without stopping at any specific location. As a result, Marvel Snap removed the card shortly after releasing it and announced on their official discord server that Kitty Pryde's card would no longer be available in the game for an indefinite period of time.
The players received apologies from the officials who promised to make an effort to correct the card and include it in the patch notes update scheduled for May.

Card Updates
Shuri: 4/2 -> 4/2
The developers have made the decision to weaken a particular card and take a chance on it. They initially thought about altering Shuri's card but discovered that doing so would negatively affect the entire deck of cards. The developers clarified that while this nerf may seem insignificant, they hope it will ultimately have a positive impact and benefit players when using the card.
Leech: 5/3 -> 5/3
The developers didn't expect users to use this card so much, which caused some frustration. They noticed that the Leech card was effective at countering big attacks and players were using it early in the game. The developers tried reducing its power but found it didn't work well. Instead, they have now released it as a counter-attacking card without making it too important in the game's meta strategy - just fulfilling its intended role.
Lockjaw: 3/2 -> 3/2
Lockjaw is a card that provides fun and excitement, but each time it's activated, up to 6 Energy can be generated. This creates inconsistency in competitive decks. However, adding other cards to the deck can help mitigate the risks associated with Lockjaw. One of the most powerful ways to use Lockjaw is by triggering it multiple times in one turn with a snap in between. But since Lockjaw only allows for one swap per turn, players must balance developing their board without advancing too quickly. As a result, playing against Lockjaw will become easier and less effective when used in decks with many low-cost cards like Thanos.
America Chavez: 6/9 -> 6/9
In the past, when drawing cards in a game and coming across the United States Chavez card, players would simply draw their next card instead. This means that her position as the top card of your deck was more likely. However, this has not had much significance compared to Yondu and it limits our ability to create cards that interact with the top of your deck. We believe that changing this rule will not have a significant impact on how well US Chavez performs overall in the game.
Jubilee: 4/1 -> 4/1
Some of our players may remember when Jubilee had the power to frequently pull America Chavez, making her a mediocre four out of ten. Instead of changing America Chavez's effect, we decided to modify Jubilee's ability because it was easier to do so. However, in future card designs, we plan on incorporating interactions with the top deck and bringing back this design element. Currently though, these changes will have little impact on Jubilee.
Leader: 6/7 -> 6/2
We were too critical of the leader and his previous Nerf, and we're disappointed that it became a negative example of how detrimental a nerf can be. Our philosophy is to balance gameplay while weakening cards as little as possible, but we failed in this case. With the new update, our goal is to make him playable again for 6 mana without being overpowered like before. We are being cautious with his strength because some defensive strategies against him weren't effective previously.
Bug Fixes and Optimizations
- The game now does not crash on a few Android gadgets when switching languages.
- There is not an infinite loop if Morph spawns randomly (eg: through X-Mansion) and copies Kang.
- The series three Token keep should now show properly when you have collected all collection 3 cards.
- If you tap multiple copies of Kang's replica while the turn is being reversed, it should not result in the disappearance of those cards.
- Spotlight cards in the Season pass UI can now be focused by using tapping anywhere on the card.
- Credit/Gold deep linking must now navigate to the store from the reward/assignment detail view.
- The avatar menu and emojis should not be clickable when looking at the details of a card during gameplay, according to UI considerations.
- Moving a card inside the details view and liberating must not be near the details view.
- Constant trouble that might reason games to Aw Snap when positive card/area combinations were performed with Galactus.
- Fixed a difficulty that allowed players to use characters in deck names that should be blocked.
- Fixed some troubles that might cause Sandman’s VFX to play in conditions in which it should now not.
- Playing cards introduced handy through Camp Lehigh do not overlap different cards in hand.
- The Navigation bar doesn’t stay up when going to information objects after which it returns to the principal sport.
