Slime is a one of a kind play material that is made of a polymer in cross-linked formation. Playing it with can be quite stress-busting and satisfying as well. It comes in one type of form or even formed in a single manner. Each type of slime can be prepared in its own way, and here is a method that you can use to make slime for occasions such as Halloween or even for normal playing sessions.

Gather the stuff

You will need things such as:

• Newspaper

• Small plastic containers

• A few shakes of glitter

• Borax - 4 Tsp

• Elmer's glue - 1 cup

• Green food coloring

• Water - 1 ¼ cups

• 2 mixing spoons

• Bowls – 2, medium-sized.

Instructions

• First, you have to take a bowl and then pour into it ¾ cup water. Make sure that all the other stuff are close at hand, so that you do not lose time in making the slime.

• Next, add Elmer's glue to the water bowl and add as many drops of the green food coloring as you wish. How many food coloring droplets you pour has to depend on how dark the slime you would like to be. Add as many as 8 droplets if you want a slime of a darker hue. Add just 4 droplets to get a slime of lighter color. Keep in mind that the mixing can be extremely hard if the quantity of slime is too huge. There can be a chance that you would need to add more droplets of food coloring to make the color of the mixture more intense.

• Shake some glitter in, and then combine together the 3 ingredients. The addition of glitter will add more sparkle, and thus more fun, to the slime and make children feel more interested while playing with it.

• Get the other bowl and then pour 1 1/3 cup water into it.

• Into the 2nd bowl, add a cup of Borax and combine completely. Just a few stirrings with your fingers can be enough to mix the stuff together and prepare the slime.

• Empty the Borax bowl into the bowl with glue. Do not combine it. Instead, let it settle for a minute. Allow the contents to get combined naturally, and do not intervene.

• Turn the bowl upside down and pour the content into some newspaper. Separate the content as per the number of children in your house who would love to play with the slime. Put each separated chunk of slime into a separate plastic container.

This is one of the simplest slime recipes and can be the easiest to make. It is entirely worth the effort and feels very smooth for children to play with. The time taken to prepare this slime recipe is minimal and even kids can make them conveniently without any assistance from adults. Kids who are too young in age might need some support from grown-ups at home.
