The mission of the Eritrean Orthodox Tewahdo Church (EOTC) in Canada is rooted at the unwavering commitment to worship, prayer, and religious education. The clergy, comprised of dedicated Priests, Deacons, and Spiritual teachers guided by a bishop, offer guidance, spiritual counsel, and conduct religious services in the ancient Geez language, preserving the authenticity of the church’s rituals and liturgy. It provides services in Tigrinya and Geez.

The sub-Diocese of Canada serves the Eritrean Orthodox Tewahdo Church in Canada which is a hierarchical and apostolic church founded by the Apostle, St. Philip. The Eritrean orthodox Tewahdo Church Sub-Diocese of Canada has authority over the Churches in Canada by being responsible for such churches as well as Eritrean Orthodox Tewahdo priests, monasteries and seminaries in Canada, setting up the geographical boundaries of such churches, can divide such churches or combine such churches, and exercises a measure of control over the activities of the churches including the services to be provided. This Sub-Diocese exhibits the ancient teachings, traditions, and deep spirituality of the Eritrean Orthodox Tewahdo Church. The Sub-Diocese adhere to the following hierarchical command, in line with Article 27 of the Laws of the Eritrean Orthodox Tewahdo Church (QalAwadi):

4. The Sub-Diocese

5. The Parish Church

Moreover, the Eritrean Orthodox Tewahdo Church Sub-Diocese of Canada embraces technological advancements, utilizing digital platforms and applications to connect its members, disseminate information, and facilitate religious education. Each church within the Sub-diocese has access to its own members and will be able to add/manage their information. The app serves as a comprehensive guide, offering resources such as liturgies, sermons, theological teachings, and updates on community events and initiatives. Additionally, it facilitates the efficient retrieval of important documents such as marriage certificate, tax documents.
