SILENT ZONE

This app works in conjunction with any low-cost wireless access point to create a designated silent zone for mobile devices. For instance a classroom, theatre, meeting room, hospitals etc. The app when installed and activated will search for the availability of a SILENT_ZONE wireless network. If located the app will move the mobile device to a vibrate mode automatically. This process is repeated till the SILENT_ZONE network is not available in which case the device setting are restored to normal "ringing" mode. Till the app and the device are in the vicinity of the SILENT_ZONE network the device shall continue to remain in "vibrate" mode.

To make this work, you can configure your existing wireless access point to broadcast a dummy "SILENT_ZONE" network. The SSID should exactly be "SILENT_ZONE" for the app to work correctly. Several wireless access points can be used to designate a larger area as a silent zone.

This idea is protected by an Indian Patent Application.
