Normal events have various types (Emergency, Help, Doing some kind of activity like Reading, Playing or Shopping) ,they will be posted at your current location and you can choose if you will share them with friends only or let them be public so anyone can see them

Private events will be sent only to friends you select and you can choose any location you want

Event can include pictures from your device or pictures taken instantely from the camera
