Summary of the novel:

The novel's events revolve around the poet Cyrano, who is distinguished by his exceptional poetic talent and courage, but he suffers from one problem: his large nose. This physical flaw makes him feel insecure about himself, especially regarding his love for Roxanne, his beautiful cousin. Despite his deep love for her, he does not dare to reveal his feelings.

Cyrano: The brave poet who suffers from his big nose.

Roxane: Cyrano's beautiful cousin whom he loves.

Christian: A handsome young soldier, who also loves Roxanne but lacks the ability to express his feelings in a poetic way.

the story:

Cyrano knows that Roxane loves Christian, but he also realizes that Christian cannot express his feelings well. For this reason, Cyrano offers to help Christian by writing love letters to Roxanne in his name. Roxanne is attracted to these letters and thinks they are written by Christian, so she falls in love with him. As time passes, Christian begins to feel guilty because he gets Roxane's love thanks to Cyrano's words.

Events escalate until the moment Cyrano reveals the truth to Roxane, but that comes too late.
