Bible Stories in Kalmyk

A children’s app in Kalmyk for the first acquaintance with the Bible.

An app of Illustrated Stories from the Bible in the Kalmyk language for children and adults. Includes audio that has been synchronized with the Kalmyk text (an Internet connection is needed for the first download of each audio file to the smartphone's internal memory, with subsequent offline listening). In portrait-mode, each line of text is highlighted when the corresponding audio fragment is played. The text switches to scrolling in landscape-mode if this option is not turned off in the app's settings. From the contents menu one may choose to read the whole Kalmyk text (without pictures) in parallel with the Russian text. The app can be used as a tutorial for reading in Kalmyk.
